Representing Yorkshire
The Yorkshire & the Humber Liberal Democrats are blessed with talented MPs, Councillors and activists. James is committed to working across the region to raise the Liberal Democrat party profile and increase our number of elected members.
James is an experienced campaigner. He played a key role in the general election in 2005 of Greg Mulholland MP in Leeds North West and fought a by-election himself to become a councillor. James has also helped out at other by-elections across the country and knows that a successful campaign is not down to a candidate, but the campaign team they assemble and activists they can rely on.
The BNP are concentrating their efforts in Yorkshire and the Humber and James knows that we must work hard to improve our percentage of the vote and prevent the BNP from making gains. We must ensure we contest all elections in our region to keep our vote up and keep the BNP out.
James is a member of the Regional Executive and has been working hard to improve communication between local parties to improve our election chances.
