Being Yorkshire born and bred I feel very privileged to be shortlisted for the Yorkshire & the Humber euro selection. I believe that the European Parliament is where the Liberal Democrats can make the most difference. Working within the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) there is potential to implement Liberal Democrat policies throughout 27 countries affecting almost 500 million people.

If selected I will work hard to raise the profile of the Liberal Democrats in the region and help the party elect more councillors and MPs. My policy interests are focused on the environment, bringing investment to the region, supporting small businesses and campaigning for the non-militarization and peaceful uses of space.
